Support Club Penguin Projects on LEGO CUUSOO

Club Penguin (CPNN) - A LEGO building set based on the Club Penguin game has a chances of being made. The projects need 10,000 supporters in order to be considered for production.

LEGO CUUSOO is a website started by CUUSOO and The LEGO Group in 2008 which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially, with the original designer receiving 1% of the royalties. "Cuusoo" roughly means "wish" in Japanese. Users may create a page about their proposed idea for a set. Once the project reaches 10,000 supporters, it is reviewed by the Cuusoo team who then decide on whether to produce it. The Cuusoo team also comments on project's pages when they have 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 supporters. These comments include feasibility, what is happening next, and anything they can think of to help it pass the review.

TeamCP, a fan-run account, is using the website to gain support for proposed models of many different locations from Club Penguin. The projects currently need support from the various members of the Club Penguin community. "The more support, the more chances that LEGO Club Penguin will become a reality." says Green Ninja, owner of the team, which currently has about ten projects published so far, consisting of proposals based on Club Penguin and some other Disney properties. More projects are on the way.

Back in October of 2012, the team submitted their first project, the Town Center, to the website. Famous Club Penguin bloggers Trainman1405 and Monchocho had pledged their support to the project on their sites. Lane Merrifield (Billybob) and Chris Heatherly (Spike Hike) were even notified about the project. Soon, it gained over 500 supporters in a little over a week, only to be deleted by the CUUSOO team.

"We weren't sure why the project was deleted, exactly, but we didn't give up." said Green Ninja. And so, nearly four months later, the project was resubmitted to LEGO CUUSOO. As of now, the project still does not have as many supporters as the original. "We're trying to spread the word as much as we can. We're not sure if we'll ever see our wish come true. It's fun to try, though!"  Since then, more projects based on Club Penguin have cropped up, with the Town Center remaining the most popular.

Now, members of TeamCP have rejoiced due to an ongoing partnership with Club Penguin itself. In August 2013, Spike Hike confirmed that the Club Penguin team has been working on something to help the projects, and a post to help gain support will be published on the official What's New Blog in the coming month. "We want to support the CUUSOO project and are totally willing to give them the license if the project goes through." Spike Hike commented.

And hey, maybe one day, LEGO Club Penguin sets will appear on the shelves.
