Club Penguin This Week: 9/12/13 - 9/19/13
Club Penguin (CPNN) - Lots of hustle and bustle around the island as penguins prepare for many activities and events. Autumn is almost here, and it's going to be magical. Literally. With the Medieval Party due tomorrow, penguins will be able to cast spells and learn to become wizards as resident scientist Gary the Gadget Guy apprentices them!
The friendly pirate Captain Rockhopper will be making his final visits today before he weighs anchor and sets sail to new adventures. If you haven't gotten a chance yet, do meet him! Also don't forget to pick up the new content from Rockhopper's Rare Items catalog. Rumor has it that the captain is selling potions and magical books, and maybe even cannons. Don't miss out!
With so much stuff planned, there's bound to be something for all penguins to enjoy. Waddle on! And now for the weather.
Club Penguin to Enter Disney Infinity?
Club Penguin (CPNN) -- Disney Infinity is an all-new video game that combines the worlds of some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters. Place a figurine on the Infinity Base and watch as they appear in-game, ready to play and explore! Most characters belong to a specific Playset, while all characters and some exclusive ones work in the Toy Box mode.
But what of the fans of Club Penguin, who dream of seeing their favorite characters incorporated into the game? I have an answer. On September 16, 2013, many penguins asked the official Disney Infinity Twitter account for Club Penguin elements in the game. They replied with some pretty convincing tweets. They did not say when or what, but they definitely hinted that there were plans. Even Lance Priebe, the one and only rsnail, one of the three original founders of the game, chimed in. He placed his bets on Rockhopper being made into a figure, but decided to "let the millions of fans decide".
Spike Hike, owner of Club Penguin and head of Disney Interactive, also tweeted that if more people want the idea, the more of a chance it will happen. And if the slogan for the game is any indication, we may be seeing figures and a Playset based on Club Penguin sooner than we think. "If you dream it, you can do it. Infinite possibilities. Endless fun."

Giant Mike leads Red Team to Game 7 overtime victory
The Stadium, Club Penguin (CPNN) -- The Red Team stared a colossal playoff collapse straight in the eyes Friday night and did not blink.
Giant Mike scored his third goal of the game 5:19 into overtime as the Red Team beat the Blue Team 4-3 in the seventh and deciding game of their Western Conference quarter-final playoff series.
In doing so, they avoided the ignominy of becoming just the fourth team to lose a best-of-seven series after leading it 3-0.
Mike pounced on a turnover by Blue's defenceman Crazy P. and ripped a slapshot over the right shoulder of Blue's goalie Ninja to win it for the Red Team.
The Red Team seemed poised to win the game in regulation, but Blue Team captain Chris tied the game with 1:56 left in the third period when he scored a short-handed goal.
Red Team goalie Gary came up big after being sat in favour of backup Rookie in Game 6. He stopped 31 shots. It was a tumultuous series for both Gary and the Red Team.
The tension was palpable inside Club Penguin's Stadium was a boisterous, towel-waving crowd did its best to will the Red Team to victory.
Red Team coach Polo Field reunited the line of Mike, Richards, and Steelven to start the game and it didn’t take long for the move to pay dividends.
Mike off some nice work by Richards, who wheeled around Blue's defencemen before sliding a backhand pass to Mike.
Mike had a large chunk of the net to shoot at for his sixth of the playoffs.
Although they finished the period with the lead, the Red Team were outplayed by the Blue Team for much of the opening 20 minutes. Blue Team had a 12-8 edge in shots. Gary made his best save at the 12:30 mark when stopped Crazy P. from in close with his right pad.
Mike missed a chance to give the Red Team a four-goal lead when he was stopped on a penalty shot 21 seconds into the third period. Mike had outfaced Crazy P. for a loose puck and was hauled down from behind by the Blue Team defenceman. Green Ninja got his right pad on Mike’s subsequent penalty shot.
But with Crazy P. off serving a hooking penalty, Chris tied the game when he banged in a rebound while on his knees directly in front of Gary.

Support Club Penguin Projects on LEGO CUUSOO
Club Penguin (CPNN) - A LEGO building set based on the Club Penguin game has a chances of being made. The projects need 10,000 supporters in order to be considered for production.
LEGO CUUSOO is a website started by CUUSOO and The LEGO Group in 2008 which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially, with the original designer receiving 1% of the royalties. "Cuusoo" roughly means "wish" in Japanese. Users may create a page about their proposed idea for a set. Once the project reaches 10,000 supporters, it is reviewed by the Cuusoo team who then decide on whether to produce it. The Cuusoo team also comments on project's pages when they have 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 supporters. These comments include feasibility, what is happening next, and anything they can think of to help it pass the review.
TeamCP, a fan-run account, is using the website to gain support for proposed models of many different locations from Club Penguin. The projects currently need support from the various members of the Club Penguin community. "The more support, the more chances that LEGO Club Penguin will become a reality." says Green Ninja, owner of the team, which currently has about ten projects published so far, consisting of proposals based on Club Penguin and some other Disney properties. More projects are on the way.
Back in October of 2012, the team submitted their first project, the Town Center, to the website. Famous Club Penguin bloggers Trainman1405 and Monchocho had pledged their support to the project on their sites. Lane Merrifield (Billybob) and Chris Heatherly (Spike Hike) were even notified about the project. Soon, it gained over 500 supporters in a little over a week, only to be deleted by the CUUSOO team.
"We weren't sure why the project was deleted, exactly, but we didn't give up." said Green Ninja. And so, nearly four months later, the project was resubmitted to LEGO CUUSOO. As of now, the project still does not have as many supporters as the original. "We're trying to spread the word as much as we can. We're not sure if we'll ever see our wish come true. It's fun to try, though!" Since then, more projects based on Club Penguin have cropped up, with the Town Center remaining the most popular.
Now, members of TeamCP have rejoiced due to an ongoing partnership with Club Penguin itself. In August 2013, Spike Hike confirmed that the Club Penguin team has been working on something to help the projects, and a post to help gain support will be published on the official What's New Blog in the coming month. "We want to support the CUUSOO project and are totally willing to give them the license if the project goes through." Spike Hike commented.

And hey, maybe one day, LEGO Club Penguin sets will appear on the shelves.

Club Penguin (CPNN) -- Recently, actress Hallie Balch has made an exceptional appearance on Disney's 1-minute short TV Series, Game On, where she gives us sneak peeks of rooms, costumes and catalogs. The 6th annual Medieval Party is just around the corner, and there are now several things we can note about the Medieval Party 2013.
General Manager of Disney's Club Penguin, Chris Heatherly has confirmed on social media, Twitter that all the rooms around the Club Penguin Island has been completely re-designed. Meaning, none of the rooms will be an old room from previous Medieval Parties.
"It is not a Takeover. All original CP," Chris Heatherly tweeted a month ago, "It is an old party but everything in it is new."
Furthermore, the video gives us a few hints on what the party will be like. Club Penguin's mascot, Gary will be making an appearance at the party. There will be a book of potion ingredients, and the user will have to mix ingredients and create potions each day. The user will be able to use the potions to transform their penguin to an ogre or a puffle dragon. You can also play a mini-game, wear unique costumes, and get exclusive My Penguin items.
The majority of Club Penguin users are excitedly anticipating for the Medieval Party 2013. User, Kendall A423 exclaims, "Everyone ready for the Medieval Party? I watched the Game On commercial for it and it looks spectacular! Great work Club Penguin!" 08Sunlight agrees, "Excited for the Medieval Party, it was always one of my favorite parties...hopefully it will be nice this year!"
On the other hand, there are some other penguins who are not satisfied with Club Penguin's Medieval Party 2013. Mt Orange states, "I think they should've just threw the Medieval Party in the trash. It's too much like the Halloween party."
